1. Flight Attendants:
Salary: ₹35 -₹40 lakhs per annum
Playing an important role in this industry the flight attendants give their best to make your journey all comfortable and safe. Standing all the time on their feet ready to serve you with their best services with a beautiful smile on their face they continue to assist you during your flight timings. Keeping in mind all the safety procedures, making the passengers aware of their safety norms, serving snacks, and tolerating the rude behavior of the passengers with happy faces they do their work sincerely.
Though it seems that the flight attendants live a very happening and classy lifestyle as they get to travel to different countries every day with different flights without paying instead getting paid for the same but at the same time one more thing to keep in mind is that they work for long hours and in different time zones which affects their health and sleep schedule at a great level.
Also, there are cases when some female flight attendants have to cope with the rude and indecent behavior of the passengers. Along with the perks they receive and the difficulties they face the flight attendants receive a handful amount of salary for their job.
2. Cargo and Logistics:
Salary: ₹15-20 lakh per annum
Imagine the passengers boarding the flight keeping all their luggage to themselves. Keeping it safe and secure and managing where to keep it while traveling can be a great difficulty for passengers. The cargo and logistics department makes sure to help you and keeps your luggage safe.
You happily let them take your luggage before you board the flight and forget about it until you de-board. Who does this all for us? The baggage handlers. It’s not always that we remember or think about the efforts of our baggage handling team until and unless we get damaged luggage or lose it or both and then it’s time to point our fingers at their negligence and irresponsible behavior of them toward their work.
It’s an extremely challenging and highly labor-intensive job that does not get the much-needed appreciation but plays a very important role in the airline industry.
3. Pilots:
Salary: ₹70- ₹80 lakhs per annum
Well, where are we going without the Pilots themselves? Just imagine that everything has happened, you entered and boarded the flight successfully and now are ready to fly to a different country or state but you have no one to get you to your desired place. Pilots play the most important role when it comes to airport jobs.
Having an esteemed and respectful job with an amazing salary, what else would you expect? Carrying the complete flight loaded with passengers and their luggage to a very different place is a task only Pilots can do. It takes time to get a pilot trained for their work and hence are paid heavily. If you have a degree in B.Sc. Aviation or any other Aviation or Aeronautical Engineering or any other sort of equivalent and aviation-related degree, you can easily become a pilot and earn a handsome amount of money.
4. Air Traffic Controller
Salary: ₹70- ₹75 lakh per annum
For being an Air Traffic Controller one needs to clear the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which is conducted by the Airport Authority of India (AAI). Once the candidate clears the exam he/she will have to attend a 03 months training program to finally get appointed as an Air Traffic Controller. But what does an Air Traffic Controller do? Though the job doesn’t need any high degree but needs utmost attention and care to do the job correctly.
They make sure that the pilot lands and takes off the plane without any difficulty and monitor the aircraft while they are in the skies. They communicate with the pilot using their radio equipment and help them.
5. Airport Engineers:
Salary: ₹80-₹90 lakh per annum
Airport Engineer also plays a vital role as they are the one who makes sure that all the machinery and work is in the right condition to make the journey and flight safe. They make plans and execute every single little thing to keep things in working order. If a single thing goes wrong it can stake the lives of hundreds of passengers and can cause issues on the ground level too.
To become an Airport Engineer one needs to have a Degree in Engineering and preferably an FAA certified training in airport and safety operations.
6. Airport Security Member:
Salary: ₹20-₹25 lakh per annum
Security is the biggest requirement at the airports. Making sure that the passengers who are traveling are safe is the biggest priority of all times. Hence security is put everywhere at the airport. Whether it is at the entry of the airport or the check-in counter the luggage check or anything else. To stop and minimise the crime it is the key job that the airport requires.

7. Retail and Concessionaire:
How can we forget about the shops we find at the airport whose item prices are hiked to the top? What can be a better place to sell your items than the one that keeps working 24 hours and always has people who are traveling and have money? Selling expensive food, beverages, items, souvenirs, etc can earn you a good profit and hence how much you can make by this profession can completely be calculated as per the kind of item you are selling or the amount of sale you are getting.
