Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) is about to release the vacancy for the  Junior Engineer (JE) and Assistant teacher 2020. DSSB JE and Assistant Teacher exams are about to be held expected in November 2020. Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board for JE and Teacher Recruitment-

This exam is conducted for the selection of junior engineers and Assitant teachers in the primary and nursery schools of Delhi. this exam conducts only once in the year and in 2019 exam was conducted between 08 November to 29 November 2019. So it is expected that in 2020 Examination for DSSB must be conducted in November 2020. So prepare hard for the upcoming DSSB examination. Here we are sharing DSSB Eligibility Criteria For JE, Assistant Teachers and DSSSB Age limit for JE in the below.

DSSSB Eligibility criteria for JE and Assistant Teachers.

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
Assistant Teacher (Primary) Eligibility criteria:-
  • Candidate must have passed 12th with at least 50% and
  • Candidate must have a 2-year diploma in elementary education.
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English.
    Or a
    2-year diploma in Education (special education) from recognized. OR 4 years of bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
  • Candidate must have passed the Central teacher eligibility test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE Central Board of Secondary education.
  • 5% relaxation will be given in senior secondary marks to the OBC, SC-ST and PH.
Assistant Teacher (Nursery) Eligibility criteria:-
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% from State board / Central board.
  • Candidate must have a diploma or certificate in Nursery teacher education program for the duration of not less than 2 years from the recognized Institute.

NOTE- No experience required for Assistant Teacher of primary and nursery.

DSSSB Junior Engineer Eligibility Criteria:-
  • Candidate must have a degree in Civil Engineering from the recognized Institute.
    Or Three years diploma in Civil Engineering from the recognized University/Board/Institute.
  • Experience- in the case of diploma- Candidate must have two years of experience in planning, execution or maintenance of civil engineering work.
Age limit for JE and Assistant Teachers.

  • For these posts, the candidate age should not be exceeding 30 years.
  • Age relaxation will be given to the candidates of OBC, SC-ST, and PH
  • SC-ST – 5 years
  • OBC- 3 years
  • PH- 10 years
  • PH+ SC-ST- 15 years
  • PH+ OBC 13 years

 Total vacancies in 2019 for the posts JE and Assistant Teachers:-

There are a total of 982 vacancies in which 637 is for the Assitant Primary teacher, 141 for the Assitant Nursery Teacher and 204 for Junior Engineer (Civil). these are details of the vacancies for the DSSSB 2019, it is expected to be the same in 2020 also.

Syllabus and exam pattern of DSSSB:-

Section-A:

General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s General
Awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions
will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such a matter of everyday
observation as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions
relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics,
Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations /Institutions etc.

General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability: The syllabus of General Intelligence &
Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Test may include
questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving,
analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation,
relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical
number series etc.

Arithmetical & Numerical Ability: The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will
cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretation,
Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss,
Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance,
Tables & Graphs etc.

Hindi Language & Comprehension and English Language & Comprehension: In
addition to the testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English and
Hindi Languages, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms,
Antonyms and its correct usage etc.

SECTION B

Applicable only for one Tier Technical only: Post specific subject related questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules for the post.
Two Tier Examination Schemes:
I. The syllabus of the TIER-I Exam will be the same as of One Tier exam.

Syllabus of TIER-II Exam:
  • A. Part-I (MCQ/Objective type) (i) Post/qualification specific subject
    related questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the subject concerned as
    per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules for the post.
  • English language & Comprehension – same as in tier-I but with a slightly higher level.

This section B is optional, this tier is only for the higher posts of the vacancy, you have the option to leave that or to appear for that.
