The Fire operator exams are conducted by the Delhi Subordinate Service selection board once in a year. To get selected as the Fire operator the candidates will have to appear for the Two different types of tests. Tier 1 and tier 2 and clearing each test is compulsory. DSSSB Fire Operator Eligibility:
To apply for the Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board Fire Operator. The candidate must match the following criteria:
- The candidate must have passed 10th standard from any recognized Board (State or Central Board).
- And also he must have a valid license to drive the heavy vehicles.
- In added Experience, the candidate must have a technical qualification in the profession.
- The candidate must know the Swimming and Driving for the further process.
Physical Eligibility:
- The Height of the candidate must be at least 165 cm or more than that.
- There is some special Relaxation for the Hilly area candidates. Their heights must be at least 160cms.
- The weight of the candidate must be at least 50kg.
- The minimum chest expansion should be 5cms.
- The Eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6.
The Candidate will have to qualify the Physical endurance test, medical test and Driving test by the Chief Fire Officer. and in the Physical endurance test, the candidate will have to perform some physical activities like:
- Long Jump
- High Jump
- 800 Metre Race
The Candidate will have to qualify these tests and have to obtain a minimum of 33% marks to be declared passed.

Age Limit:
- The Age of the candidate must be minimum 18 years old and should not be more than 27 years old.
- There is some special relaxation which is given to some special categories- Other Backward Classes, Scheduled castes, and Scheduled Tribes, etc.
- The OBC candidates will get 3 years of relaxation.
- The SC/ST candidates will get 5 years of relaxation.
The work profile of DSSSB Fire Operator:
The Fire Operators will Assist the Senior officer in the time of fire fighting, There basic job is Fire Fighting. The candidate who would get selected can be posted as vehicle drivers, machine operators, Pipe Rollers, etc. And their jobs can be varied according to their qualification.
DSSSB fire operator Salary:
Right after the selection, the candidate will for the pre-service training and the time of training the candidate get a stipend 7200/-. The Pre Service training will be done under the guidance of the Cheif Fire Officer.
After the training, the candidate will be posted or work as Fire Operator and he will get a salary around 20,200/- per month. They will also get a Grade pay of 5,500 as per grade C.
