Age Criteria as of 01/01/2025
For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry:
- The minimum age of the eligible candidate: 20 years
- The maximum age limit for the eligible candidates: 24 years
- The candidates should have not born before 02/01/2001 and not after 01/01/2005 (both dates inclusive)
- For the candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot License (DGCA) the upper age limit has been relaxed by 02 years i.e., 26 years. (not born before 01/01/1999)
For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch:
- The minimum age of the eligible candidate: 20 years
- The maximum age limit for the eligible candidates: 26 years
- The candidates should have not born before 02/01/1999 and not after 01/01/2005 (both dates inclusive)
Marital Status: The candidate should be unmarried and can not marry during the training.
Qualification Criteria:
For Flying Branch:
- The candidate should be 12th pass (Maths & Physics) with min 50% marks.
- The candidate should hold a Graduate Degree (Any Discipline) with 60% Minimum Marks.
OR
- B Tech/BE (04 Years) with 60% Minimum Marks
OR
- The candidate should have cleared Section A and B Examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% Minimum Marks.
For Ground Duty (Technical):
- The candidate should be the 12th pass (Maths & Physics) with min 50% mark.
- The candidate should hold a Graduate Degree (Any Discipline) with 60% Minimum Marks.
OR
- The candidate should have cleared Section A and B Examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% Minimum Marks.
For Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches:
- The candidate should take the 12th pass (Maths & Physics) with min 50% mark.
- The candidate should hold a Graduate Degree (Any Discipline) with 60% Minimum Marks.

- B Tech/BE (04 Years) with 60% Minimum Marks

How to apply for the Post?
The eligible candidates can apply online on the website careerindianairforce.cdac.in or afcat.cdac.in. On the website, you’ll find a button saying ‘Candidate Login’ on the home page. New applicants can Register themselves and already registered candidates can log in.
For new registration the candidate will have to make a Log-in ID, once you put your e-mail ID in you’ll receive a mail with the new system-generated password. Log in using your Email ID and the given Password. Select AFCAT or NCC Special Entry For Flying Branch and fill out your application form carefully.
Save the form and continue. After the personal Details, the candidates will need to fill in the qualification details, Course preference, communication details, etc, and then will have to upload the relevant documents needed. Aadhar Card is mandatory for online application. Select your exam center City and continue to make the payment (if applicable) through the given online mode.
The Admit Card will be available on the website from 30/01/24 (11:00 am ) onwards.
