Types of Joint Exercise-
- Opposition practice
- Multi-party practice
Opposition practice:- As the name suggests, the opposition exercise is a military exercise between two countries such as the Allied exercise between India and Sri Lanka.
Multi-party practice:- As an example, the exercise that will be conducted between China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Pakistan and Russia. This is called multilateral exercise rather than bilateral.
Why India’s joint military exercise is conducted?
As mentioned, why military practice is important for any country, in the same way, the military practice is very important for India which is organized due to the following reasons:
- This manoeuvre is performed to conduct defence exercises as it provides several objectives such as low-intensity conflict operations in counter-terrorism counter-emergency etc.
- It is a better way to test the capabilities of the armed forces without getting involved in military practice combat.
- It helps the armed forces to train and train for unmanned relief in cases of natural disaster or disaster.
