UPPSC PCS J Exam Pattern and Syllabus For Pre and Mains Exam:-

There Shall be Three stage of UPPSC PCS J Exam

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective and Multiple Choice Type)
  2. Main Examination (Written Conventional Type)
  3. Viva-voce (Personality Test)

UPPSC PCS J Exam Pattern and Syllabus For Preliminary:-

UPPSC PCS J Preliminary Exam Pattern:-

  • The written test will be multiple choice objective type
  • There will be two Paper, Paper-I & Paper-II

UPPSC PCS J Mains Exam Pattern:-

  • The written exam will be descriptive type.
  • There is total Five Papers which is given below.

UPPSC PCS J Preliminary Exam Syllabus:-

Paper-I (General Knowledge)

This paper may include questions based on topics relating to History of India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, Current National Issues and topics of Social relevance, India and the world, Indian Economy, International Affairs and Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology, Communications and Space. The nature and standards of questions in this paper will be such that a well-educated person will be able to answer them without any specialized study.

इस प्रश्न पत्र में भारत के इतिहास और भारतीय संस्कृति, भारत की भूगोल, भारतीय राजनीति, वर्तमान राष्ट्रीय मुद्दे और सामाजिक प्रासंगिकता, भारत और दुनिया, भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मामलों और संस्थानों और क्षेत्र में विकास से संबंधित विषयों के आधार पर प्रश्न शामिल हो सकते हैं। विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी, संचार और अंतरिक्ष के भी प्रश्न शामिल होंगे। इस पेपर में प्रश्नों की प्रकृति और मानकों का ऐसा होगा कि एक अच्छी तरह से शिक्षित व्यक्ति बिना किसी विशेष अध्ययन के जवाब दे पाएगा।

Paper-II (Law)

This paper will include day to day happenings around India and the world, particularly in Legal spheres, Acts and laws.

  1. Jurisprudence (न्यायशास्र)
  2. International Organisations (अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगठन)
  3. Current International Affairs (वर्तमान अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मामलों)
  4. Indian Constitution (भारतीय संविधान)
  5. Transfer of Property Act (संपत्ति अधिनियम का स्थानांतरण)
  6. Indian Evidence Act (भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम)
  7. Indian Penal Code (भारतीय दंड संहिता)
  8. Civil Procedure Code (नागरिक प्रक्रिया संहिता)
  9. Criminal Procedure Code (आपराधिक प्रक्रिया संहिता)
  10. Law of Contract (अनुबंध का कानून)

UPPSC PCS J Mains Exam Syllabus:-

Paper-I (General Knowledge)

This paper may include questions based on topics relating to History of India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, Current National Issues and topics of Social relevance, India and the World, Indian Economy, International Affairs and Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology, Communications and Space. The nature and standards of questions in this paper will be such that a well-educated person will be able to answer them without any specialized study.

Paper-II (Language)

This paper will be of 200 marks. It shall comprise four question as specified below:-

  • Essay to be written in English – 60 marks
  • English Précis writing – 60 marks
  • Translation of passage from Hindi to English – 40 marks
  • Translation of passage from English to Hindi – 40 marks
Paper-III (Substantive Law)

This paper will be of 200 marks. The question set will be restricted to the field covered by:- The law of contracts, the law of Partnership, the law concerning easements and torts, the Law relating to transfer of property including the principles of equity, specifically applicable thereto, the principal of Equity with special reference to the Law of trust and specific relief, Hindu Law and Mohammedan Law, and Constitutional Law. There shall be questions of 50 marks in relation to Constitutional Law alone.

यह पेपर 200 अंक होगा। प्रश्न सेट इस क्षेत्र तक ही सीमित होगा: – अनुबंधों का कानून, साझेदारी का कानून, आसानता और टॉर्ट्स से संबंधित कानून, इक्विटी के सिद्धांतों सहित संपत्ति के हस्तांतरण से संबंधित कानून, विशेष रूप से लागू, प्रिंसिपल ट्रस्ट और विशिष्ट राहत, हिंदू कानून और मोहम्मद कानून, और संवैधानिक कानून के कानून के विशेष संदर्भ के साथ इक्विटी। अकेले संवैधानिक कानून के संबंध में 50 अंकों के प्रश्न होंगे।

Paper-VI (Procedure and Evidence)

Questions set will be restricted to the field covered by the law of evidence, the Criminal Procedure Code and Code of Civil Procedure, including the principles of pleading. The question set will relate mainly to practical matters such as the framing of charges and issues the methods of dealing with the evidence of witnesses the writing of judgment and the conduct of cases generally but will not be restricted to them.

प्रश्न सेट साक्ष्य के कानून, आपराधिक प्रक्रिया संहिता और सिविल प्रक्रिया संहिता, जिसमें याचिका के सिद्धांत शामिल हैं, से जुड़े क्षेत्र तक ही सीमित रहेगा। प्रश्न सेट मुख्य रूप से व्यावहारिक मामलों से संबंधित होगा जैसे आरोपों को तैयार करना और गवाहों के साक्ष्य से निपटने के तरीके और आम तौर पर मामलों के आचरण से निपटने के तरीकों को हल करना, लेकिन उन्हें प्रतिबंधित नहीं किया जाएगा|

Paper-VI (Penal, Revenue and Local Laws)

Indian Penal Code, the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land reforms Act 1951, Uttar Pradesh, Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act,  1972, Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, U.P. Consolidation of Holding Act, 1953, Uttar Pradesh Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, together with rules framed under the aforesaid Acts. An answer to the questions of Local Laws will be compulsory. Questions pertaining to Penal Law will be of 50 marks, whereas, that of Revenue and Local Laws will be of 150 marks.

भारतीय दंड संहिता, उत्तर प्रदेश ज़मिंदारी उन्मूलन और भूमि सुधार अधिनियम 1 9 51, उत्तर प्रदेश, शहरी भवन (लेटिंग, किराए और उत्खनन का विनियमन) अधिनियम, 1 9 72, उत्तर प्रदेश नगर पालिका अधिनियम, यूपी। पंचायत राज अधिनियम, यूपी होल्डिंग एक्ट, 1 9 53, उत्तर प्रदेश शहरी (योजना और विकास) अधिनियम 1 9 73 का एकीकरण, उपर्युक्त अधिनियमों के तहत बनाए गए नियमों के साथ। स्थानीय कानूनों के सवालों का जवाब अनिवार्य होगा। दंड कानून से संबंधित प्रश्न 50 अंक होंगे, जबकि राजस्व और स्थानीय कानूनों के 150 अंक होंगे।

Interview:-

The interview will be of 100 marks. The suitability of candidates for employment in the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service will be tested with reference to his merit giving due regard to his ability character, personality, and physique.

Clarification:- The candidates will have a choice to answer General Knowledge and Law papers either in Hindi or in English.
