UPSC Syllabus 2020, Full Details About Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
To Understand the UPSC Syllabus, you have to read the complete article. The Syllabus of the UPSC Examination consists of the NCERT Books. To get selected through the UPSC, one will have to clear the two phases of examination, which are the Preliminary Exam, commonly known as Pre and Mains Exam, etc. The syllabus and the nature of the phases of paper are different. Let’s first see the Exam Pattern and syllabus of the UPSC Preliminary Syllabus, and after that, we will see the UPSC Mains Syllabus 2020, etc.
UPSC Preliminary Exam Pattern:

- All the Questions in this will be asked in Objective type with Multiple choice Answer.

- For the General Studies, A candidate will be awarded 2 marks for each correct answer and 0.66 marks would be deducted for each wrong response.
- For the CSAT: A candidate will be given 2.5 marks for each correct answer and 0.83 marks will be deducted for each wrong response.
UPSC Preliminary Syllabus:
In the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) Preliminary Exam. A candidate will have to prepare for two papers:
- General Studies I (General Ability Test)
- General Studies II (CSAT) Civil Service Aptitude Test
